I want your workshop to feel like a joyful, creative, unforgettable moment. Workshops are currently offered in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. Travel fees may apply for locations more than 30 miles from Rockville, MD. To make sure everything flows smoothly for both of us, here are a few important things to know before booking:

Payment & Booking

  • To reserve your workshop date, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required.
Once your requested date is confirmed as available, I will send you a secure link to pay the deposit. The remaining balance must be paid within 3 days of booking. Your spot is only fully confirmed once the balance is received.
If the balance is not paid within this timeframe, your reservation may be released.

  •  All payments are processed securely, and once confirmed, your date and materials are guaranteed. In addition to credit card payments, I also accept Bitcoin — because art (like life) should be about freedom and fun.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

The $100 deposit is always non-refundable.

  • Cancellations made 10 days or more before the event: full refund of the balance (deposit not included).

  • Cancellations made 6 to 9 days before the event: 50% refund of the balance (deposit not included).

  • Cancellations made 5 days or less before the event: no refund.

You may reschedule once, at least 7 days in advance, subject to availability.

Capacity & Minimum

Workshops have different minimums depending on type:

  • Painting Ceramics: $400 minimum fee, which covers up to 8 ceramic pieces. This can be shared however you like—one per guest if you have 8 guests, or more than one per guest if your group is smaller. Each additional guest or piece is $50, up to a maximum of 12.

  • Creating with Clay: $250 minimum fee, which covers up to 6 guests (one clay project per person). Each additional guest/project is $40, up to a maximum of 12.

For groups larger than 12, please contact me to discuss options and custom pricing.
Upgrades (like larger or custom pieces) are available—just ask when booking!

What I Provide

  • Painting Ceramics: ceramic bisque pieces (either my handmade originals or high-quality industrial bisque), painting materials, underglazes, brushes, and aprons.

  • Creating with Clay: fresh clay, sculpting tools, aprons, underglazes, workspace setup, and step-by-step guidance in forming, shaping, and painting.

  • Both workshops: Finished pieces are glazed, kiln-fired, and delivered to the host within 2–3 weeks.

What You Provide

  • Tables and chairs for all guests

  • A well-lit indoor space or shaded outdoor space

  • Optional: access to water (not required, but helpful)

Delivery

Finished pieces are glazed, kiln-fired, and delivered to the host within 2–3 weeks.
Delivery is included within 30 miles of Rockville, MD. Travel fees apply beyond this distance.
I’ll contact you when everything’s ready for pickup or delivery.

Outdoor Events

If you’re hosting outdoors and weather turns bad, please have a backup indoor option. If no backup space is available, we’ll reschedule based on availability.

Safety & Liability

Guests are responsible for their own behavior and safety. I take every care with tools and materials, but I’m not liable for accidents, injuries, or clothing stains. (Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy!)

Broken Pieces & Kiln Firing

Ceramics are delicate, and sometimes accidents happen:

  • If a guest accidentally breaks a piece during the workshop:
Replacement cost is $25 per piece (this covers bisque, glazes, and kiln firing). The replacement must be painted within the workshop time, with up to 20 extra minutes allowed.

  • If I break a piece during transport or after the workshop:
I will either refund the cost of that piece or provide a replacement piece painted by me, inspired by the guest’s design (I always take photos of finished pieces).

  • During kiln firing:
Natural casualties (rare, but possible) may occur, such as cracking, warping, or unpredictable glaze reactions.
By booking, you acknowledge this natural risk of ceramics. In such cases, refunds are not provided. Instead, I will create a replacement piece painted by me, inspired by your design.

Photos & Sharing

I love capturing the joy of these workshops. I may take a few photos during the event or of finished pieces to share on social media or my website (always with care and respect).
If you’d prefer not to be photographed, just let me know.

Final Note
My goal is to create a relaxed, fun, and creative experience for everyone. Thank you for respecting these terms—they help keep things fair, organized, and joyful for all.
